The Concerto For Piano And Orchestra No. 1 In C Op. 15 is the first of Beethoven’s famous piano concertos and, being one of his earlier works, reflects a youthful and passionate composer, demonstrating his own virtuosic pianistic skills and understanding of the instrument. This version of the score has been edited, with an orchestral reduction for accompanying piano, by Max Pauer and includes Beethoven’s original cadenzas. The orchestral setting of the second piano will enable the pupil studying the solo part, to follow the orchestra and complete their part.
