The edition is part of the Trinity syllabus 2007 (grade 8) Hummel's Trumpet concerto is certainly one of the more well known and popular works in the trumpet repertoire. This is a beautifully lyrical piece, with many memorable melodies and sonorous harmonies. This version has been arranged for B flat Trumpet with Piano Accompaniment and has been edited by Norman Richardson. Where many piano (or orchestral) reductions can literally be a reduced orchestral score rather than a properly devised accompaniment, this piano part has been carefully voiced so as to be performable. This piece will provide an enjoyable challenge for both the trumpeter and pianist alike. The solo trumpet part is also included on aseparate insert.
