With their wide range of differing moods these pieces concentrate less on the typical rhythm of the Tango but convey something of the demonic forces
inherent in this dance. Unusual playing techniques like plucked strings, clusters from wrist to elbow and the use of the voice further emphasise the composer's 'sinister' intentions.
