French saxophonist, Marcel Mule (1901-2001) compiles an essential addition to Saxophone studies. Adaptable to all Saxophones, the third volume of Scales and Arpeggios, Fundamental Exercises for all Saxophones cannot be missed. Mule was born in Normandy and by the age of 12, had already won two first prizes in solo competitions on the Saxophone. However, his heart was set on a teaching career and thus he taught at the Paris Conservatoire. He is also the founder of the French Saxophone school. Mule 's Scales and Arpeggios, Fundamental Exercises for all Saxophones enabled many of his successfulstudents to develop their technique to a high standard. As indicated by the title, the third volume addresses scales and arpeggios, however, they are arranged in such a way as to focus on other technical aspects at the same time, such as range, intervals, fingering, neatness, articulation and chromaticism. Mule 's Scales and Arpeggios, Fundamental Exercises for the Saxophone is essential to all aspiring saxophonists.
