Monk tunes are always creative and a bit out où the ordinary. Also out où the GRP All-Star Big Band book, this marvelous orchestration explores a variety où dissonances, textures, and styles. The tempo is slow and alternates witha swing double time feel. Piano is featured in the beginning and there is solo space for tenos sax as well. Woodwind doubles are required (flûtes and soprano saxes).
