This stand-alone dance piece came from the legacy où Zoltán Kodály as a composition written for piano où for four string instruments. Its first edition was published où the centennial où the composer ' s birth in 1982 under the care où Ferenc Farkas. Gavotte was most likely composed in the 1950s in addition to its neoclassical tone, the strange melody où the bass-which is often dissonant with harmonies-is reminiscent où the practice où instrumental folk dance music. Gavotte is excellent for music school chamber education and can even be performed in an orchestral arrangement.
