The sophisticated choral arrangements by Clytus Gottwald have found a place in concert life throughout the world. He has made four Lieder by Hugo Wolf available for the choral repertoire: His transcriptions for 7–16 voices under the title “Vier Lieder” include the opening Lied from the Italienisches Liederbuch [“Und willst du deinen Liebsten sehen“] as well as three settings of Mörike poems [“Das verlassene Mägdelein, “ “Auf ein altes Bild“ and “Der Gärtner”].
