Franciszek Mirecki’s Four Polonaises, Op. 8 were published in 1817, by Ricordi of Milan. Distinguished by their salon character, these works are full of elegance and charm, and they are also not lacking in fanfare passages. In terms of both design and expression, they are close to compositions of this type by Mirecki’s teacher, Johann Nepomuk Hummel.
