Description :
The etudes by Chopin are usually described in two categories: as a "compendium on knowledge of piano performance” or as "small musical poems.” Both those definitions are correct, and do not exclude each other. The etudes will always remain an example of exeptional harmony between the instrumental and aesthetic-emotional aspects of a musical composition.
