The collection of sonatas for Violin and Guitar Centone Di Sonate, was presumably written during Paganini's stay in Prague from 1828-9. The 18 sonatas in this collection, (3 in this edition), clearly show that, with regard to his compositions for Violin and Guitar, Paganini underwent a brilliant process of maturing. The Centone Di Sonate reflects a compositional finesse not seen in his earlier works.
