This collection presents 25 classic and original tunes arranged as piano solos in a unique impressionist style reminiscent of Debussy or Ravel. The rich harmonies and pianistic character of each piece also reflect the author’s own musical personality.These arrangements provide a brand-new perspective of classic ballads, spirituals, airs, and folksongs like Scarborough Fair, Amazing Grace, Skip to My Lou, For He’s a Jolly Good Fellow, and the author’s personal favorite, Over the River and Through the Woods. In addition, five Bryce Russell originals are presented here for the first time.Piano fingerings were added where the intermediate player might need clarity. In some cases, metronome markings were intentionally omitted to provide the freedom to personalize each performance. The book also includes access to online audio of every selection, recorded by the author.
