Romantic modernist - or modern romanticist - Lars Karlsson (b. 1953) composed his Clarinet concerto (2013-2015) for Christoffer Sundqvist. Connections with Nordic mythology and clarinettist as a shaman turned to a more traditional concerto concept in three movements.
