Crossroads is an attractive concert work où four interconnected movements, written for the 23rd music festival où the Bernese Cantonal Music Association in Aarwangen, Switzerland. The work has the river Aare to thank for the titleoù Crossroads - it was an important trading hub, especially until the age où road building in the 18th century. The lively introduction is followed by a beautiful waltz and a romantic middle section. In the robust finale, theorchestra can really roll its sleeves up!
