Description :
Katze, Schnee und Dudelsack, Zwölf Klavierstücke für Kinder (KSV 196) by Kurt Schwaen is a 10-minute work for solo piano. The twelve piano pieces were written between 15 November 1959 and 2 January 1960. Kurt Schwaen was an extremely productive composer whose style could be classified between Bartók, Stravinsky and Hindemith. Katze, Schnee und Dudelsack ("Cat, Snow and Bagpipe") is also oriented towards this neo-classical attitude and, despite the use of new compositional techniques, always remains catchy, easy to receive and suitable for children to perform. This edition (EP 5286) is the piano edition of this work.
