Mojave CHYRZYNSKI MARCEL
Clarinette, Violoncelle, Percussion et Piano
Classique
Description :
In 2017, after my monographic concert organised by the Polish Music Center in Los Angeles, I hired a car and drove to Las Vegas. However, I didn’t take the interstate highway, the quickest and most used road, but followed an acquaintance’s advice and headed up the picturesque old route through the Mojave Desert formed partly by the famous Route 66. The Mojave Desert made an incredible impression on me, and I stopped many times to savour its charms: the boundless space, the straight road to the horizon, the rocks, the mountains, the sand dunes, the crooked shoots of the Joshua trees...This work represents an attempt to convey the atmosphere of that desert and my feelings at the time.
