Description :
Paul McCartney gets back to his rock'n'roll roots with this exceptional album of cover versions (and a few new songs). This is a project that McCartney had been considering for a long time, as his inspiration as a child was rock'n'roll, and it was rock'n'roll that was responsible for Paul's picking up a guitar. In March 1999, Paul was finally able to get together a small group of some of the best rock musicians in the country (including David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) on guitar and Ian Paice (Deep Purple) on drums) and spent a week non-stop recreating the rock'n'roll sound, only with a new element that was all the band's own. The songs include Chuck Berry's Brown Eyed Handsome Man and Elvis' All Shook Up as well as some original material written by McCartney.
