This edition is based on the editions from the epoch, and in the case of Romanze, on the autograph. I relation to sources, obvious errors have been corrected, and marks have been unified. Some fingering and dynamic marks have also been introduced in the places where the lack in the original text seems to result from the publisher's or author's mistakes. At the same time, the compact way of notation characteristick of Rozycki has been preserved to the greates possible extent. Fingering comes from the editor, in many places based on the original fingering from the first editions, authorised by the composer. The variants of fingering adapted to a smaller hand have been given in brackets. The publication requires a certain level of playing skill and is not intended for beginner pianists.
