Bonneau 's composing was highly versatile, ranging from over fifty film scores, operettas, songs and other pieces for woodwind, including a concerto. His Suite is highly virtuosic, made up of four movements; 1) Improvisation, 2) Dance of Demons, 3) Complaint, and 4) Playfulness. The work contains typically French characteristics including chromaticism and difficult technical passages. All these elements combined make for an enjoyable and challenging piece forclarinetists.
