Daniel Roth 's Triptyque (hommage à Pierre Cochereau) for Organ. Daniel Roth was born in 1942 in Mulhouse, in France. He studied music at the Paris Conservatoire where he won first prizes in harmony, counterpoint, fugue, accompaniment, Organ and improvisation, going on to win prizes in international competitions, including the SACEM prize for Organ composition, and the first Grand Prix de Chartres for interpretation and improvisation. His performing career has been international, with recitals, conferences, performances for radio and a large number of records. At the same time, he teaches Organ, improvisation and interpretationat the Musikhochschule in Frankfurt/Main, Germany. He also composes and his works are published and played the whole world over. Daniel Roth is organist at the church of Saint-Sulpice in Paris.
